Imogene Heard Cowart, 81, of Forsyth County, died Sept. 11, 2010.

Mrs. Cowart was a member of Friendship Baptist Church of Forsyth County.

Her husband, Ralph Cowart, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her son, Jimmy Cowart of Forsyth County; granddaughter, Maryann and Gavin Beck of Dawsonville; great-granddaughter, Anna Lee Beck of Dawsonville; brother and sister-in-law, Leverette and Sally Heard of Cumming; sister-in-law, Sylvia Hard; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Mildred and Bill Freeman of Cumming; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sept. 14 at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Ricky Byrd, Bud Sutton, Mark Akins and Carrell Pruitt officiating. Interment followed in Sawnee View Memorial Gardens.

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
