Rev. Hugh Fields, 88, of Dawsonville, died Sept. 12, 2018. Born Aug. 17, 1930 to the late Henry Grady and Carrie Fields, he was a lifelong resident of Dawson County. Rev. Fields served as Dawson County Probate Judge for 16 years. He was ordained into the Baptist Ministry in 1958 after which he served as pastor of County Line Baptist Church, served as pastor of the First Baptist Church of Dawsonville for 16 years and served as pastor of Goshen Baptist Church for 30 years. Hugh was a member of Sweetwater Baptist Church and also a member of Etowah Lodge # 222 F & AM for 67 years. His wife of 61 years, Grace Fields, preceded him in death.
