Gloria Maxine Smith, 73, of Dawsonville, died May 28, 2018.
Gloria was a longtime resident of Dawsonville and in her younger years an "Outlaw Moonshiner.” She loved watching the Golden Girls, reading, gardening, canning, horses, fishing and hunting. She will be greatly missed.
Her parents, Joe Terrel Sudderth and Nellie Gunter Sudderth; her huband, Charlie Smith; her sister, Fannie Grace Sudderth Turner; brother Grady Edward Sudderth; and daughter Deborah Ledford, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her children Gloria, Frances Eidson, Kenneth Charles Davis, and Cindy Davis, all of Dawsonville; sister, Linda Sue Baker; grandchildren, Dustie Thurman, Cody Sewell, Joseph Davis, Ashley Davis, Samantha Davis, and Spencer Davis; eight great-grandchildren; numerous other nieces, nephews; various other relatives also survive.
A funeral service for Mrs. Smith was held at 3 p.m. May 31 in the Dahlonega Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Eddie Cane officiating.
The family received friends from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. May 30 and from 9 a.m. until service time May 31. Interment followed at Mt. Sinai in Dahlonega.
