Glenda Lou Herring, 71, of Northport, Ala., died Nov. 18, 2014.

She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

She loved to work in her yard and interior decorating. She was born in Bowdon to the late Hugh and Gladys Granger.

She grew up there, working as a car hop at her dad's barbecue restaurant, Grangers BBQ and also working at his skating rink.

Her parents, and a daughter, Meda Wiggins Hilyer, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband, Lary A. Herring of Northport, Ala.; daughters, Diletta Wiggins of Covington, Renee and Eric Lujan of Carrollton, Tonya Hood of Sharpsburg; son, Rick and Connie Wiggins of Dawsonville; grandchildren, Kelsey, Lauren, Taylor, Kristin, Candi and Daniel; great-grandchildren, Madison , Adaline and Corbin; various other relatives also survive.

A private family service will be held at a later date.

McDonald and Son Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
