Fred Dwight McClure, 82, died March 8, 2015.

He was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church of Blairsville.

He was also an active member of Prospectors Association Club of America and Weekend Gold Miners Prospecting Club.

Fred served proudly in the United States Navy during the Korean War.

Survivors include his children, Keith and Claire McClure of Murrayville, Alan and Cindy McClure, Laurie and Jim Duncan, all of Cumming, Leigh and David Baker of Dawsonville, John Moore of Georgia; Sisters and brothers, Lanier McClure of Marietta, Desma Killian of Travelers Rest, S.C., Oberia Bland of Cumming; close friends, Russ and Pam Adkins; six grandchildren; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. March 13 in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with the Revs. Charles Blackstock and Frank Whitmire officiating. Interment followed at Sawnee View Gardens Cemetery.

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
