Franklin "Del" Richardson, 56, of Dawsonville, died July 5, 2017.
Born Sept. 23, 1960 in Savannah, Mr. Richardson had been a resident of Dawson County for more than 30 years.
A member of Shepherd's Chapel, he studied his Bible daily. Del worked at AIG in Alpharetta until his retirement, loved his family and friends and enjoyed watching NASCAR and the Atlanta Braves.
His mother, Martha Richardson; granddaughter, Madilynn Harris; and his beloved K9 companion, Speedy, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Christine Richardson of Dawsonville; daughters and sons-in-law, Jessica and Brian Adams of Dawsonville, Amanda and Greg McCallister of Demorest; father and stepmother, Ed and Barbara Richardson of Buford; sister, Gail Anderson of Winder; brother and sister-in-law, Eddie and Sherry Richardson of Panama City, Fla.; grandchildren, Seth Adams, Cade Adams, Angeleah Harris, Kaitlyn McCallister, Dylan McCallister; niece, Heather Wilson of Winder; nephew, George Triplett of Loganville; K9 companions, Prissy and Bella; various other relatives also survive.
The family is planning memorial services at a later date.
Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
