Frank E. Manning, 72, of Dawsonville, died April 26, 2018.
Born Jan. 19, 1946, Mr. Manning had been a resident of Dawsonville for over 25 years. A loving husband, father and friend, he was a man of God and a rock for his family.
Frank retired from General Motors after 30 years of service and served as a deacon at Trinity Baptist Church in Dawsonville.
His wife, Sylvia “Annette” Manning; son, Jeffrey Scott Manning; parents, Frank Manning and Dimple Manning Carter; sister, Patsy Kidd; and brother, Hoyt Manning, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Jon Spangler of Braselton; daughter-in-law, Debbie Manning of Worton, Md.; grandchildren, Keith French, Ryan Manning, Jack Manning, Kristin French and Jensen Brock, Katie French, Skylar Spangler; brother, David Manning of Forsyth; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Victoria and Steve Brumbelow of Dawsonville, Susan and Joe Chadwick of Snellville, Angela Manning of Jonesboro; various other relatives also survive.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. April 29 in the Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Scott Christopher and Rev. Josh Mulkey officiating. Interment followed in Trinity Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family received friends from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. April 28 at the funeral home.
Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
