Fannie Mae Ross Weidner, 67, of Dahlonega, died Nov. 20, 2014.

She was a lifelong resident of Lumpkin County and a member of Hilltop Tabernacle Church in Dawson County.

She was like a second mother to all of her nieces and nephews, and always showed the positive side of life.

She gave more than she ever got and lived her life to the fullest. Fannie was humble hearted to everyone she met.

She was the daughter of the late Leroy and Adelaide Adams Ross. Her brothers, Howard Lee Ross, Robert Edward Ross; and sister, Hazel Elizabeth Tyson, also preceded her in death.

Survivors include her brother, Frank Ross of Dawsonville; brother and sister-in-law, Tommy and Connie Ross of Dawsonville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary Lou and David Hall, Brenda Gail Young and Timmy Floyd, all of Dahlonega, Ruth Annette and Leroy Piper of Marietta; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Nov. 24 in the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega with the Pastor Tommy Ross and the Revs. Junior Evans and Joe Christopher officiating. Interment followed in the Mount Hope Cemetery in Dahlonega.

Banister Funeral Home of Dahlonega was in charge of the arrangements.
