Fairy Sue Gilbert, 82, of Cumming, died April 11, 2019. 

Fairy Sue was a loving, wife, mother and Nana.

She was a member of New Harmony Baptist Church. She was retired from Scottish Rite Hospital after 17 years of service. Fairy Sue spent her life giving to others.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Ruby Padgett; and son, Heath Gilbert; brothers, Ronnie Padgett and Mack Padgett; grandchildren, Ryne Gilbert and Haley Gilbert.

Survivors include her husband, Bobby Gilbert of Cumming; children, Tony (Kendra) Gilbert of Cumming; Missy Chewning of Cumming; Mandy Gilbert of Cumming; sisters, Janice Henderson of Dawsonville, Diane (Danny) Hansard of Cumming; grandchildren, Jonathan Gilbert, Kassidy Gilbert, Chelsea Dinsmore, Saxon Chewning; sister-in-law, Brenda Padgett; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on April 15 at New Harmony Baptist Church with the Revs. Sammy Wright and Johnny Padgett officiating. Interment will follow in New Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery. The family received friends at Ingram Funeral Home from 2 to 7 p.m. on April 14 and from 8:30 to 11 a.m. on April 15.
