Eugene "Gene" Emory Wallis, 83, of Cumming, died May 3, 2015.

Gene was formerly employed by Lockheed.

He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Gene was the owner of Gene Wallis Body Shop.

Everyone that knew him will always remember his wonderful smile.

His parents, Fay and Willene Wallis; three brothers, Harold, Heyward and Norris Wallis; and grandson, Chase Mills Wallis, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Mildred Wallis of Cumming; children, Greg and Linda Wallis, Dennis and Robin Wallis, Debbie and Harley McClure, all of Cumming; sisters, Lunell Robbs, Mary Wallis, both of Cumming; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. May 6 in the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Brody Hughes, Gerald Blackburn and Donnie Nix officiating. Interment followed at Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the hour of service May 6.

In lieu of flowers, donations were requested made to Cross Roads Baptist Church Building Fund.

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming is in charge of the arrangements.
