Elroy Warbington, 80, of Cumming, died Oct. 18, 2015.

Mr. Warbington was a member of Harmony Grove Baptist Church and was a loving husband, father and Papa. He loved the land that had been entrusted to him and enjoyed raising everything from cattle to poultry to yellow watermelons. He and Laura recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in August.

Elroy was born Feb. 9, 1935 to the late C.L. and Carrie Belle Cain Warbington.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Guinn Warbington; sisters, Geraldine Majors and Annette Chatham; father and mother-in-law, Hoke and Mammie Belle Parks.

Survivors include his wife, Laura Parks Warbington of Cumming; sons, Lamar and Deanna Warbington, Michael Warbington, all of Cumming; daughters, Kaylynn and David Geer of Cumming, Amy and David Howard of Dawsonville; brother, C.. and Sharon Warbington of Dacula; sisters, Louise Higginbotham of Lawrenceville, Imogene Mullinax of Duluth; in-laws, Jan Warbington, Roe Chatham Jr., Everette and Eva Parks, Boyd and Jeanne Parks, Jane and Phillips Williams, Barbara and David Kerby, Ferman Brookshire; grandchildren, Paul and Melissa Warbington, Delana and Andrew Heard, Mindy Warbington, Jennifer and John Byers, Christy Geer, Luke Howard, John Howard, Carianne Howard; great-grandchildren, Ayla and Clare Heard, Theodore Byers; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Oct. 21 in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with the Revs. Tim Biddy and Jeff Wilkie officiating. Interment will follow at 2 p.m. at White Chapel Memorial Gardens in Duluth.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are asked to be made to Harmony Grove Baptist Church in Cumming.
