Elizabeth Janice Chumbley Canup, 68, of Dawsonville, died Jan. 30, 2018. Born March 24, 1949 to the late Odum and Jethel Chumbley, she was a native of Dawson County. Mrs. Canup lived in Griffin for 30 years before returning to Dawson County in 2006. A graduate of Dawson County High School and Georgia Baptist School of Nursing, she worked as a Registered Nurse for Spalding Regional Hospital for 25 years and at Emory Midtown until her retirement. She was a member of Juno Baptist Church.
