Elga Mincey, 86, of Dawsonville, died Dec. 21, 2013.

Born Jan. 21, 1927 to the late Arthur and Maggie Waters, she lived her entire life in Dawson and Lumpkin counties.

Elga worked many years providing in home healthcare.

Her daughter, Dora Mincey; and brothers, Dewey Waters and Alton Waters, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her children, Roger and Elizabeth Mincey, Jerry and Marie Mincey, Dolores and Ronald Bearden, all of Dahlonega; brother, Darrell Waters of Dawsonville; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Dec. 23 at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Drs. Jeff Burrell and Billy Russo officiating. Interment followed in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
