Dwight Landon Taylor, 28, of Big Canoe, died Oct. 21, 2012.

He was born in Dunwoody on March 2, 1984.

His brother, Dwight Lee Taylor II; grandfathers, the Rev. Edward V. Taylor Sr. and Lawrence A. Justice; grandmother, Lelon M. Justice; and uncle, Eddie "ET" Taylor, preceded him in death.

Landon earned a computer networking degree from Lanier Technical College and a creative writing degree from Western State College in Gunnison, Colo.

He worked at Taylor, Turner, Hartsfield Insurance in Cumming.

His parents, Debbie and Dwight Taylor of Big Canoe; grandmother, Dorothy "Dot" Taylor of Cumming; brother, Will Cameron and wife, Billie Jo Whitehead of Cumming; sister, Amy and Chad Willis of Greensboro, N.C.; nephews, Miles and Graham Willis of Greensboro, N.C.; various other relatives also survive.

Services were held at noon on Oct. 25 at McDonald and Son Funeral Home with the Revs. Travis Bridgeman, Jeff Falkowski and Randy Hall officiating. Music was provided by Alecia and Travis Bridgeman, Jaymi Galpin, Bill Pound and Art Shand. Pallbearers were Kevin Rich, Jake Kirby, Cass Harris, Erin Whitt, Chad Willis, Will Cameron, Kevin Daniel and Brandon Thornhill. Honorary pallbearers were the staff of Taylor, Turner and Hartsfield Insurance Company. Graveside services followed immediately at Greenlawn Cemetery.

Flowers were accepted, and donations were asked to be made to Big Canoe Animal Rescue, 10676 Big Canoe, Jasper, GA 30143.

McDonald and Son Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
