Dionia Nina Barrett, 87, of Dahlonega, died Sept. 1, 2010.

She was a lifelong resident of Dahlonega who loved to garden and loved cats and dogs.

Her parents, Almer Lewis and Lemma Hardin; brothers, Roscoe and A.J. Harbin; and husband, Claude Barrett, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Emmalee and Travis Wyatt of Dahlonega; daughter, Eveilee Odom of Dahlonega; brother and sister-in-law, W.A. and Patsy Hardin of Dahlonega; sister, Birdie McCarn of Hendersonville, N.C.; grandchildren, Justin and Missy Odom, Tyler and Melissa Odom, Erin Odom, all of Dahlonega, Stephanie Lemley of Athens; great-grandchildren, Remington and Ace Odom, Christin Tuggle; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sept. 3 at Siloam Baptist Church in Dahlonega with the Revs. Lyman Caldwell and Casey Robinson officiating.

Interment followed in the church cemetery.

Dahlonega Funeral Home of Dahlonega was in charge of the arrangements.
