Debra Lynn “Esa” Derrett, 64, of Dawsonville, died Nov. 7, 2017.

Debra enjoyed spending her time with her grandchildren, family and friends. She was a nature enthusiast and always loved a cold brew and a warm spot in the sun. Her final request shall be honored as her remains shall be carried by the sea on her journey to the Lord.

Her beloved husband, Audra Jackson Derrett; mother, Tina Lambert; and sister, Lynda Lea Smith, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her three children, Harley Derrett and wife Vanessa, Drew Whelchel and wife Christie, Lorie Fowler and husband Chuck; father, Lee Lambert (POFC); 12 grandchildren, Austin Jackson Derrett, Connor Mitchell Derrett, Nikolai Asa Derrett, Tanner Jacob Whelchel, Morgan Christine Whelchel, Alexandra Suzanne Whelchel, Nathan Josiah Whelchel, Meagan Lambert, Ryan and Courtney Lambert, Brandon Fowler (PFC Army), Luke Prather, Madison Prather; extended family, Faye Lewis and husband Talmadge, Crystal Prather and husband Nate, Linda Pugh, Cassie Push, Addie Pugh; nephew, Graham Smith; as well as three great-grandchildren, Logan Michael Hiller, Colton Lee Lambert, Ella Lee Lambert; various other relatives also survive.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
