David W. "Preacher" Evans, 76, of Dawsonville, died June 19, 2010.

  

Born June 7, 1934 in Dawson County, he was a lifelong resident of Dawson County. Mr. Evans was a retired automobile mechanic, owned and operated 400 Mini Storage and was preceded in death by his father, Fred Evans.

  

Survivors include his children, Sue and Troy Millikan, Eddie and Stacey Evans, all of Gainesville, Davie Evans and Veronica Anderson of Dawsonville; sisters and brother-in-law, Polly Seabolt of Dawsonville, Dorothy and Phil Kinsey of Clermont; brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Wynelle Evans of Dawsonville; companion, Wilda Pirkle of Dawsonville; adopted family, Abigail Jesperson, Megan Jesperson, Kristi Sanders; special cousin, Michael Evans; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; various other relatives also survive.

  

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. June 21, 2010 at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Katie Franklin Lancaster, Leroy Blackwell and Tommy Lamb officiating. Interment followed in Etowah Baptist Church Cemetery.

  

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
