Danny Lee Thomas, 68, of Cumming, died Aug. 2, 2016.

Danny was born in Ocilla in 1947 to the late Grady and Lizzie Mae Thomas.

Mr. Thomas served his country as part of the military police in the United States Army.

He was a retiree of Gwinnett County Public Utilities, where he worked for many years to provide for his family that he loved so dearly.

He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Danny was a member of Walk of Faith Holiness Church in Dawsonville. He was well known for his songs that he wrote and would sing for his Lord and Savior.

Danny will be dearly missed.

In addition to his parents, his brother, James Thomas, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Mary Thomas of Cumming; daughters and son-in-law, Dana and Paul Cox, Ronda Thomas, all of Cumming; grandchildren, Amanda Thomas and Daniel Cox, both of Cumming; loving dog, Jasper Thomas of Cumming; sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Donnie Wade of Pendergrass, Billy and Felicia Seabolt, Jerry and Brenda Seabolt, Johnny Seabolt, all of Buford, Franklin Seabolt of Jefferson, Buddy Seabolt of Cumming; various other relatives also survive.

Memorial services were held Aug. 6 at Walk of Faith Holiness Church in Dawsonville with the Pastor Keith Blackwell officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations should be made in Danny's remembrance to Walk of Faith Holiness Church, Hwy. 53 East #100, Dawsonville, GA 30534.

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
