Clent T. Kendall, 92, of Dahlonega, died June 23, 2010.

  

Mr. Kendall was born in Lumpkin County, April 28, 1918. He was a member and treasurer at Nimblewill Baptist Church in Lumpkin County. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He retired from General Motors after 30 plus years and also was a poultry farmer for over 30 years.

  

Clent was the son of the late Mark and Mamie Stover Kendall and was also preceded in death by a brother, Clyde Kendall; and a granddaughter, Jill Kendall.

  

Survivors include his wife, Jocelyn Kendall of Dahlonega; sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Charlotte Kendall of St. Petersburg, Fla., Rick Kendall, Stan and Robyn Kendall, all of Flowery Branch; daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Johnny Foster of Marietta, Tracy Kendall, Kelley and Allan Wright, all of Dahlonega; grandchildren, Allston Kendall, Sara Kendall, Kendall Foster, Charter Foster, Alan Michael Kendall, Zach Kendall, miles Kendall, Jerry Kendall, Clent Blackwell, Natalie Kendall, Laura Wright and Emily Wright; eight great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Herbert and Dolene Kendall of Buford, J.B. and Druscilla Kendall of Marietta; sisters and brothers-in-law, Lela Bell Crenshaw, Estelle Bagwell, both of Oakwood, Eleanor and Loy Seabolt of Dahlonega, Hazel and Harold Collins of Gainesville; various other relatives also survive.

  

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. June 25 at Nimblewill Baptist Church with the Revs. Paul Shadburn, Allen Swafford and Johnny Foster officiating.

  

Interment followed in the church cemetery.

  

Banister Funeral Home of Dahlonega was in charge of the arrangements.
