Charles W. King III, 57, of Dawsonville, died Aug. 31, 2017.
Born Feb. 3, 1960 in Houston, Texas, he had lived in Dawson County for the past 15 years having moved from Decatur. King worked as a mortgage banker for 10 years after which he was employed at Lowe’s in Cumming.
His father, Charles W. King Jr., preceded him in death.
Survivors include his companion, Betsey Padgett of Dawsonville; mother, Barbara King of Dawsonville; brother, Paul King of Dawsonville; stepmother, Sandie King of Florida; stepsister, Susan Arvesen Jensen of Illinois; niece, Savannah King; nephews, Payton King and Zach King; his special dogs, Cozmo and Roxie; his former classmates from West Lafayette High School in Indiana and numerous friends; various other relatives also survive.
A celebration of his life will be held at 2 p.m. Sept. 23, 2017 at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel.
The family will receive friends beginning at 1 p.m. Sept. 23.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Dawson County Humane Society, 633 Martin Road, Dawsonville, Ga. 30534.
