Charles Jerry Cox, 80, of Alpharetta, died Aug. 14, 2017. He was born July 14, 1937 in Alpharetta, to the late Ernest and Mildred Cox. He lived most of his life in Athens, and almost 20 years in Dawsonville. He was a graduate of the University of Georgia and Michigan State, received a bachelor’s degree from UGA and a master’s degree and PhD from Michigan State.
