Charles E. Vincent, 83, of Norcross, died April 13, 2013.

Born March 11, 1930, in Pilot Oak, Ky., to the late Bruce and Pernie Vincent, he moved to Clarkston, Ga., in 1967 and to Norcross in 1988.

Charles spent more than 40 years as a Baptist minister and served as pastor of Clarkston Baptist Church until his retirement in 1986.

He never stopped giving of himself and continued to minister to his friends and family until his death.

Following his retirement, he was employed at K-Mart in Lilburn as the appliance manager, retiring again after 10 years of service.

An accomplished artist in the field of painting, he enjoyed sharing his works with others.

His brother, William Vincent, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his children, Denyse Vincent of Dawsonville, Chuck Vincent of San Gregorino, Calif., Albert Burke of Norcross; sister, Darleska Vincent Wright; brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Jimmye Ann Vincent; grandchildren, Clay Free, Katie and Robert Dean, Max Vincent, Henry Vincent; various other relatives also survive.

Memorial services were held at 3 p.m. April 14 at Bearden Funeral Home with the Rev. Stan Lovell officiating.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
