Charles B. "Charlie" Young, 59, of Dawsonville, died Oct. 2, 2012.

Born Sept. 29, 1953, in Espanola, N.M., to the late Broughton and Mary Frances Young, he lived most of his life in Dawson County.

Mr. Young was formerly employed by Gilleland Construction and was of the Baptist faith.

His brother, Howard Young, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his daughter, Jessica Young of Marlborough, Mass.; sisters and brothers-in-law, Barbara Lawson, Shirley and Buddy Lee, all of Dawsonville, Sarah and Leo Rohland of Woodstock; brothers and sister-in-law, Randall and Trina Young of Talking Rock, David Young of Dawsonville; various other relatives also survive.

Memorial services were held at 7 p.m. Oct. 5 at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Dean Pugh and Randall Woody officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations were requested made to help with final expenses.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
