Carol Garrett, 72, of Dawsonville, died Nov. 6, 2017.
Born May 20, 1945 in Lumpkin County to the late Archie
and Bertie Davis, she lived most of her life in Dawson County. A homemaker at
her death, she was formerly employed at Coca-Cola in Gainesville.
Carol was well known for baking her delicious cakes, and was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church.
Her husband of 43 years, Rev. Johnny Garrett; and brothers, Clayton Davis, Horace Davis and Willard Davis, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her sister-in-law, Mary Ruth Davis of Cumming; and several nieces, nephews and friends; various other relatives also survive.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Nov. 9 at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bobby Whitmire officiating. Interment followed in the Hightower Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family received friends from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. Nov. 9 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to assist with final expenses.
Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
