Carlton Earvin Wilson, 55, of Cumming, died Aug. 18, 2013.

He was highly respected by his friends and family and always had time for them.

Carlton loved his grandkids and spending time with them.

In his free time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing and was passionate about his lawn and flowers.

Carlton exhibited great pride in his lawn being the greenest in the neighborhood.

He retired from Fulton County Schools after 27 years of service.

His parents, Frances Louise Silvers Wilson and Jessie William Wilson Sr.; his grandparents, Lucy Neal Ogle Silvers and George Earvin Silvers, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Jan Wilson; children, Brittany and Kevin Bearden of Dawsonville, Travis Wilson of Cumming; grandchildren, Carlton James "C.J." and Emma Grace Bearden; brothers, Ronnie and Jessie Wilson, both of Canton; sister and brother-in-law, Debbie Wilson and David Clark of Suwanee; parents-in-law, Travis and Ruby McDaniel Kelley of Cumming; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Dawn Kelley and Ward Duncan of Cumming; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Aug. 22 in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with the Revs. Sam Rickett and Bobby Pirkle officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. and 4 to 9 p.m. Aug. 21 and from 9 a.m. until the hour of service Aug. 22 at the funeral home.

Flowers are appreciated, or if desired, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in honor of Carlton Earvin Wilson.
