Brenda Ann Bruce, 54, of Dawsonville, died Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2009.

A native of Braselton, she had lived in Dawson County for the past 36 years.

She was a homemaker and member of Bethel United Methodist Church.

Brenda will be remembered as being happiest when she was surrounded by family and friends. Her giving nature, devotion to those she loved and her unwavering faith in God will shine in our hearts forever.

Her father, Thomas "Junior" Cash, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her sons, Bart Bruce, Derek Bruce, both of Dawsonville; mother and stepfather, Betty and Herman Carter of Hoschton; sister and brother-in-law, Sharon and Phil Bryan of Cleveland; brothers and sister-in-law, Randall and Brenda Cash, Brad Cash, all of Hoschton; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 13 at Bethel United Methodist Church. Mrs. Lollie Elliott, Dr. Orin Samples and the Revs. Emory Brackman and Michael Garrett officiated. Interment followed in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations were requested sent to Bethel United Methodist Church Building Fund, 100 Lumpkin Campground Road South, Dawsonville, GA 30534.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
