Billy Lanier Martin, 77, a lifelong resident of Forsyth County and Jot'em Down Road, died March 6, 2014.

Billy was a member of Salem Baptist Church and worked in the dietary department at Northeast Georgia Medical Center for 27 years.

His favorite season was spring so he could work in his flower garden.

His parents, Charlie and Bertie Martin; sisters, infant Ethel Martin, Nellie Lou Anderson, Helen Pendley, Dorothy Walls; brothers, Herbert Martin, Calvin Martin, Ivan Martin, infant Donnie Martin, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his sisters-in-law, Jo Ann Martin and Sue Martin, both of Gainesville; brother-in-law, Harley Walls of Cumming; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. March 9 in the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Keith Martin and William Phillips officiating. Interment followed in Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery.

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
