Betty Ann Mooney, 74, of Dawsonville, died Sept. 28, 2013.

Mrs. Mooney was born Aug. 8, 1939, to the late Ellis E. and Ola Mae Smallwood. She had been a resident of Dawsonville for more than 20 years coming from Forsyth County. A dedicated wife, mother and grandmother, she attended Winds of Peace Church and was loved by all.

Her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Hubert and Susie S. Mooney; sisters, Marie Duffle, Jeanette Smith, Sue Harrison; brother, Junior Smallwood; daughter-in-law, Janice Mooney, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Euell D. Mooney of Dawsonville; sons and daughter-in-law, Hubert D. Mooney, Randy Lee and Kathy Mooney, all of Dawsonville; daughters and son-in-law, Helen Chamblee, Susie Morgan, both of Dawsonville, Melissa and Bobby Bowen of Alto; grandchildren, James and Jessica Pirkle, Richard and Tessa Bishop, Danny and Angela Mooney, Robert A. Mooney, Todd A. Mooney, William Anthony Lee, Burdette Morgan, Joann Lee; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters, Eva Bruce of Cleveland, Barbara Jakes; various other relatives also survive.

Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Oct. 1 at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Lee Ayers officiating.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
