Benjamin "Powell" Turner, 74, of Cumming, died Dec. 25, 2013.

He was a member at Silver City Baptist Church.

Powell was a coin collector. He enjoyed buying and selling coins.

He was a sports fan and especially enjoyed watching football, baseball and NASCAR.

Powell loved to make people laugh. He retired from Lockheed Martin.

His parents, Toy and Eulene Turner, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his daughters and sons-in-law, Gail and Dennis Gravitt of Dawsonville, Gloria and Bill Taylor of Cumming; grandchildren, Wes Gravitt, Kelsey Gravitt, all of Dawsonville, Whitney Bennett of Cumming; brother and sister-in-law, Troy and Janet Turner of Cumming; sister and brother-in-law, Janie and Fred Willis of Dahlonega; brother, Rex Turner of Roswell; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Dec. 27 in the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Ruel Martin and Stephen Davis officiating. Interment followed at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens.

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
