Barbara Roland Duncan, 67, of Ball Ground, died Dec. 21, 2010.

 

Born Aug. 25, 1943 in Dawson County to the late Earl and Mae Roland, she had lived in Cherokee County for the past 27 years, having moved from Chatsworth.

 

Mrs. Duncan was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Dawsonville.

 

Her husband, Boyd Duncan; sisters, Geraldine Roland, Lorene Ayers, Betty Sue Waters; and a brother, Dewey Roland, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her children, Stacy and Danyell Duncan of Canton, Jeffrey and Amy Duncan of Oxford, N.C., Angie and Chris Goynes, Kim Duncan, all of Ball Ground; sisters, Nora Neal of Dawsonville, Jean Bryant of Cumming; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jimmy and Ora Roland of Dahlonega, Billy and Annie Roland of Dawsonville; grandsons, Zachary Duncan, Cole Duncan, Austin Duncan, Daniel Duncan, Garrett Duncan; various other relatives also survive.

 

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Dec. 24 at Harmony Baptist Church with the Rev. Jeff Hill officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.

 

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
