Anthony Waters, 55, of Dahlonega, died Oct. 3, 2014.

Anthony was born in Forsyth County and grew up in Dawson County.

He had lived in Lumpkin County for the past 34 years. He was a landscape contractor and was of the Baptist faith.

Anthony loved his family very much, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and they adored him.

Anthony was the son of the late Dewey and Floriede Cox Waters.

His brother-in-law, Carlos Chumbler; and mother-in-law, Martha Lee Abercrombie, also preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Susie Abercrombie Waters; sons and daughter-in-law, Benji and April Smith and Kevin Waters, all of Dahlonega; sisters and brothers-in-law, Rita Chumbler, Brenda and David Ridings, Cathy and Lynn English, all of Cumming; father-in-law, Ben Abercrombie of Dahlonega; grandchildren, Brian, Taylor, Jordan, Harley, Benjamin, Cayden, Austin, Kaylee, Khloee and Konner; great-grandchildren, Brialey and Braydan; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Oct. 6 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega with the Revs. Les Fuller, Wilbur Ridings and Nathan English officiating. Interment followed in the Mount Gilead Baptist Church Cemetery in Lumpkin County.

Banister Funeral Home of Dahlonega was in charge of the arrangements.
