Anna Hawkins, 16, of Dawsonville, died June 10, 2013.

Anna was captain and MVP of the varsity soccer team at Dawson County High School. She was top of her class academically. She was loved by everyone and a light to everyone who met her.

Her grandparents, Ralph and Edna Pettyjohn, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her father and mother, James and Nancy Hawkins of Dawsonville; sister, Kati Hawkins of Dawsonville; grandparents, Lamar and Brenda Hawkins of Marietta; various other relatives also survive.

A graveside service was held at 12:30 p.m. June 14 at Mountain View Cemetery in Marietta.

Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home and Crematory of Marietta was in charge of the arrangements.
