Albert Voorhees Van Aman Jr., of Cumming, died June 16, 2013.

Born in Barstow, Calif., he was the son of the late Albert and Mildred Van Aman Sr.

His beloved wife, Carolyn J. Van Aman; son, Albert V. Van Aman III; and daughter, Carolyn Diane Barnett, preceded him in death.

Lt. Col. Van Aman retired from the United States Air Force as a pilot.

Survivors include his daughter, Kathy Bingham of Dawsonville; grandchildren, Justin Bobrick, Matthew Bingham, Whitney Bingham, Brandon Bingham, Cameron Plemons, Ashley Bingham, Jordan Bingham and Zachary Plemons; various other relatives also survive.

Memorial services were held at 2:30 p.m. June 18 at Cumming First United Methodist Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requested donations be made to Cumming First United Methodist Church.

McDonald and Son Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
