A public meeting will be held next Wednesday to gather input as part of a Dawson County study for portions of Lumpkin Campground Road.
This story continues below.
A drop-in meeting will be held May 3 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at Fire Station 2's community room. Since there will be no formal presentation, attendees can stop by at any time during the meeting.
Consulting firm KCI’s study is looking at Lumpkin Campground Road’s southernmost segment from the Forsyth County line to the Dawson Forest Road roundabout and from its intersection with Ga. 53 north to Ga. 400.
“We want your feedback to improve traffic, transportation and infrastructure in the Lumpkin Campground Road Corridor in Dawson County,” stated an April 12 Facebook post. “Please drop in for the public meeting on May 3 to share your thoughts.”
People can provide input by attending the meeting in person or by commenting on the original Dawson County Government post about it. Comments will be included in the discussion.
The public input session is part of the study’s first phase, as no specific projects have been identified yet.
DCN will continue to follow the road study’s progress.
