During the Dec. 20 meeting of the Dawsonville City Council, the council members and mayor recognized several city employees for their hard work and announced the 2021 Employee of the Year.
At the meeting, the council recognized Planning and Zoning Administrative Assistant and IT Specialist Stacy Harris for her four years of service with the city and presented her with the December service award. They commended her for her years of dedication and her continued commitment to better the city through her work.
Also on Dec. 20, the council recognized Utilities Treatment Plant Operator Kyle Richardson as the November Employee of the Month and presented him with a certificate.
“Kyle joined our team 13 months ago and during this time he has shown a willingness to learn and a great aptitude for learning,” City Manager Bob Bolz said. “He approaches every task asked of him with wholehearted enthusiasm to do the very best job possible. Kyle is also a gifted carpenter and welder and his spirit of teamwork is exemplary.”
Finally, the city council recognized Accounts Payable and Event Coordinator Sara Beacham as the December Employee of the Month before announcing that she had also been voted by her colleagues as both the Employee of the Fourth Quarter and the 2021 Employee of the Year. The council and mayor presented her with certificates honoring each of her achievements.
“Sara is the mastermind behind the food truck nights, Christmas event and tree lighting, numerous city events and luncheons as well as her many duties, such as assisting with live streaming efforts, working with social media efforts, coordinating training arrangements and her role as accounts payable, just to name a portion of what she does,” Bolz said. “Sara does it all with an enthusiastic, team first attitude and her customer service is exemplary and also should be commended. Sara is very dependable and her efforts day-to-day are greatly appreciated.”
