The Sawnee Electric Membership Foundation is accepting applications for two scholarship opportunities, according to a press release by Sawnee EMC.
Sawnee EMC’s Youth Scholarship Program is accepting applications from high school seniors. The scholarship is open to children of Sawnee EMC members and must be used at an accredited college or technical school, according to the release.
“In place since 2003, this scholarship program has grown to become one of the largest and most successful in the area,” the release said.
The deadline to apply for the Youth Scholarship Program is Feb. 12, 2021. To learn more about the scholarship or to download the application, visit www.sawnee.com/scholarships.
The other scholarship that Sawnee EMC is currently accepting applications for is the Brian Johnson Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship must be used for the Electrical Lineworker Certification Program, according to the release.
