Dawson County authorities say that a 51-year-old man from Cumming was taken into custody last week, charged with child molestation and enticing a child for indecent purposes.

Warrants allege that Christopher Darrel Bohrer was arrested by the Dawson County Sheriff’s Office on Jan. 28, 2021, after a minor under the age of 16 came forward to local authorities, stating that Bohrer had removed her clothes at a local residence earlier in the year

Dawson County Sheriff Jeff Johnson said that the disclosure led to a thorough investigation by the sheriff’s office and the arrest warrants issued against Bohrer.

Bohrer was booked into the Dawson County Detention Center but has since been released on a bond of $30,200.

Attempts to reach Bohrer for comment were unsuccessful
