UPDATE: Dawson man pleads guilty to sexual crime, related offense
Landrum

A Dawsonville man has pleaded guilty to committing a sexual offense against a victim in November 2021.

Richard Rolomas Landrum II, 53, entered a negotiated plea of guilty to charges of felony aggravated assault with intent to rape, misdemeanor sexual battery and felony false imprisonment, according to documents filed Jan. 23, 2023 in Dawson County Superior Court.

He was sentenced to a total of 20 years. He will spend a year in prison, with the rest of the punishment to be served on probation.

Landrum was initially booked by the Dawson County Sheriff’s Office in 2022 for felony charges of aggravated sexual battery and false imprisonment.

He's also been sentenced in a separate court case for driving under the influence. That case's 12-month punishment will run concurrent with the punishment from the sex crime case.
