Dawson man arraigned for alleged sexual crime, related offense

A Dawsonville man has been arraigned after allegedly committing a sexual offense against a victim in November 2021.

Richard Rolomas Landrum II, 52, was booked by the Dawson County Sheriff’s Office on July 25 for felony charges of aggravated sexual battery and false imprisonment.

In a separate pending court case, he has also been charged with driving under the influence per se and less safe, which allegedly happened on a different day than the other charges.

The sexual crime and related offense allegedly occurred on Nov. 1, according to a May indictment. Landrum is accused of pinning a woman down to a bed at his residence and penetrating her with his finger.

Landrum was given unsecured judicial release this past week after being granted a consent bond in November.

DCN will continue to report on this story as more information becomes available.
