Turner named regional president for Y-Club

Tatum Turner, a junior at Dawson County High School, was named president of the Northwest District of the Georgia Y-Club during last month's Christian Life Conference held in Covington.

Turner has been elected for the upcoming 2011-12 term as one of four presidents serving the four Georgia regions of the Y-Club.

The Y-Club is a service club whose purpose is to create, maintain and extend, throughout the home, school and community high standards of Christian character.

In addition to serving as an active member of the Dawson County High School Y-Club, Turner participates in the DCHS Chamber Singers, varsity golf team, Beta Club, Tri-M, Spanish Honor Society, Interact Club and film and drama club.
