Autumn Callahan, a freshman at Dawson County High School, was recently honored at a Dawson County Board of Commissioners meeting.

  

Named Keep Dawson County Beautiful Youth Ambassador of 2009, the 15-year-old Callahan proudly accepted the certificate presented by Keep Dawson County Beautiful Chairman Karen Armstrong.

  

In her presentation to the board of commissioners, Keep Dawson County Beautiful Executive Director Cathy Brooks noted many of Callahan’s accomplishments including her promotion of recycling in the community.

  

Callahan expressed gratitude for the recognition.

  

“Autumn is a remarkable young lady. We value her involvement with Keep Dawson County Beautiful and the community,” said Brooks.
