The Dawson County Library is gearing up for a summer full of shows for all ages.

Starting this week, Wednesdays at the library will feature events and guests ranging from puppet shows and magicians to reptiles, dancing and edible science.

One of the guests set to visit is Lee Bryan, "That Puppet Guy."

Combining puppets, magic tricks, and original songs, the show will "have you tapping your toes, while exploring rain forest preservation, water conservation and recycling," according to library branch manager Stacey Leonhardt.

Also visiting will be Sheila Humphrey from Smithgall Woods. As part of the "Snakes Alive!" show, Humphrey will bring with her real, live snakes to help attendees discover fun facts about snakes, as well as learn how to distinguish between venomous and non-venomous species and explore the important role snakes play in the ecosystem.

Other visitors will include Julie Baggenstoss to teach flamenco dancing, Dewayne Reynolds with a magic balloon show and Keith Karnok, who will demonstrate magic and ventriloquism.
