Kids can Touch-A-Truck

Kids in Dawson County will have the chance to get up close and personal with their favorite trucks during a May 8 event sponsored by the local library.

Dawson County Library will hold its inaugural Touch-A-Truck program from 10 a.m. to noon outside the library building.

Branch Manager Stacey Leonhardt said children will have the opportunity to take a look at ambulances, fire trucks, police cars, tow trucks, concrete mixers and off road vehicles.

“Kids love these types of vehicles because they’re big, impressive and very cool,” Leonhardt said.

Leonhardt invited all those who attend the event to come into the library afterward and “check out a book about your favorite truck or car.”
