Lanier Technical College, the Georgia Department of Labor and the Cumming-Forsyth County Chamber of Commerce will sponsor the Northeast Georgia Career Expo and Twitter Chat Tuesday, Feb. 25, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The event takes place at 3410 Ronald Reagan Blvd, Cumming, off Hwy. 400, exit 12.

Were getting more and more calls everyday from employers looking to hire, Malissa Lawrence, Lanier Technical Colleges director of career services said.

Job seekers should bring several copies of their resume; they should dress for success, and be prepared for on-site interviews, according to a press release.

Employers scheduled to attend include: Northeast Georgia Health Systems, Wells Fargo Bank, Lowes, Tyson Foods, Sherwin-Williams, DataScan Technologies, Theragenics Corporation, Richo Electronics, Mansfield Oil, and nine others.

Employers are recruiting for jobs in manufacturing, computers, retail, industrial, staffing, government, education and healthcare. Early-childhood education teachers are being sought, along with medical assistants, licensed nurse practitioners, welders, assembly line workers, machine operators, office managers, firefighters, maintenance mechanics, and others.

The event features a live Twitter chat discussing salary, dress, follow-up, career change, applications, and searching for jobs for people 40 and older.
