Residents would be forgiven if theyve confused Dawsonville for Hollywood, California at least for the past week.

Clint Eastwood, Amy Adams, Justin Timberlake and John Goodman have been in town filming scenes for the movie Trouble with the Curve.

In the movie, Eastwood plays a baseball scout who is taking his daughter, played by Amy Adams, on a recruiting trip. The movie has been filmed at various locations across the state of Georgia, including in Athens and Atlanta.

Filming started March 20, and reports have been coming in from a variety of places around town that the celebrities have been spotted.

Marty Williams with the Dawson Chamber of Commerce confirmed that there had been some sightings of Eastwood and others at various locations around town, but he could not confirm where.

Commission chairman Mike Berg was pleased with reports that, wherever the movie stars have been spotted, it appears that they are being treated respectfully and not being asked for too many autographs.

I think that speaks well for our county, Berg said, and will bode well for future movie folks looking to come in.

Berg said that he had heard Eastwood and Timberlake were using a local gym to work out, and that Timberlake has been spotted at a local ice cream store.

Additionally, there have been reports of some citizens being allowed to go on set and briefly meet with Eastwood himself.

Dawson County residents have been eager to spot the famous guests, with people attempting to congregate across the street on Hwy. 53 from where filming is taking place at the Amicalola Lodge, which will be the Grey Squirrel Motel in the movie.

The Dawsonville Pool Room was asked to take food to the set of the movie over the weekend.

They took some food out there, some hamburgers, said Gordon Pirkle, owner of the Pool Room. As far as I know, they havent been inside the Pool Room.

The film was expected to wrap shooting in Dawsonville on March 27.
