A residential fire shut down Dawson Forest Road East for about 30 minutes Monday morning. It was a total loss, Emergency Services Deputy Chief Tim Satterfield said of the home. Engines One, Two and Seven and Medical Unit One responded to the scene. Satterfield estimated the crews had the fire knocked down in about 45 minutes. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
