NASCAR racing fans and collectors have a rare chance to own a one-of-a-kind, die-cast model car from Bill Elliotts later racing years.
And it doesnt cost a penny.
An anonymous donor gave the cars to the Dawson News & Advertiser after he found them tucked away in a storage area of his chicken house.
Back in the day, I was good friends with George and Mildred (Elliott) and they used to send me stuff all the time, the elderly gentleman said. I figured somebody out there would be really happy to have one.
George and Mildred Elliott are the parents of Bill Elliott.
The only criterion the donor requires is that the cars must be given away.
Maybe theres some boy out there who wont have much for Christmas, he said, so I think it would make a nice present.
Adults may want to get in on the action, too. Printing on the box states: Limited Edition Adult Collectable.
