The BBQ restaurant has opened up another location in downtown Dawsonville.

Peggy Swanson, a manager of the new downtown restaurant, said the owners decided to build the second location because residents from the north and west of Dawsonville asked for it.

The restaurant is located on Highway 53 right in downtown Dawsonville.

"It's a good family atmosphere restaurant," Swanson said.

The hours of operation are from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.

One of Big D's most popular dishes is the brownie sandwich. The sandwich is made with pork in rub sauce, spicy ranch dressing and served on garlic toast. Swanson said the Deluxe breakfast is probably the most popular breakfast entree. It comes pancakes, two eggs, grits or hasbrowns and bacon or sausage.
