It’s possible authorities may not be able to identify all the juveniles and women a Dawsonville teen secretly made videos of inside three local restrooms.

However, investigators with the Dawson County Sheriff’s Office do know at least four of the dozen victims are under age 16.

David Walker Gormley, 17, is charged with four felony counts of unlawful surveillance and eavesdropping. He turned himself into authorities Jan. 20.

Gormley, a senior at Dawson County High School, was released to his parents later that day on a $40,000 bond, according to jail records.

Between early December and Jan. 9, authorities say Gormley used his cellphone to make videos in the bathrooms of the Dawsonville Chick-fil-A, Grace Community Church on Beartooth Parkway and his residence.

Gormley was employed at Chick-fil-A until last week, when a female co-worker reportedly found his cell phone hidden in the ladies room.

Tony Kellar, who owns the restaurant, said in a statement that Gormley was fired after management was notified.

Sheriff’s Lt. Tony Wooten said restaurant management, church officials and Gormley’s parents have cooperated with authorities during the investigation.

“It’s an unfortunate incident,” Wooten said. “Mr. Kellar was put in this situation and did the right thing by notifying authorities.”

Wooten said there is no indication that any videos were made at the high school or other locations.

Authorities also do not think any of the videos were sent to other parties.

Grace Community Church Pastor Ray Rhodes Jr. said his congregation is grieving and praying for the victims.

Gormley attended the church but was not a member, according to Rhodes.

In an e-mail, Rhodes wrote that the church was “clinging by faith in our sovereign Lord and believe that in this bad situation that he will provide great opportunity for ministry.”
