Authorities are searching for a suspect who reportedly held another man at gunpoint while robbing him early Friday morning in his home.
No one was injured in the attack, which occurred about 9:30 a.m. Friday in the 2500 block of Hwy. 53 East.
The suspect was described as a white man in a blue sweatshirt and jeans.
“He was wearing a ski mask and demanded money,” said Dawson County Sheriff Billy Carlisle.
The man, who reportedly had a sawed-off shotgun, took an undisclosed amount of money and ran into woods behind the home.
Sheriff’s deputies used dogs to search an area along Hwy. 53 from Hugh Stowers to Thompson roads.
“Our officers are continuing to follow leads and investigate the reported armed robbery,” Carlisle said.
