County detention officer arrested for forgery

A detention officer who resigned from the Dawson County Sheriff's Office last week was taken into custody early Tuesday afternoon on charges of forgery, false statements and violation of oath of public office. The former detention officer, Katie Ann Moore, 29, of Murrayville, was arrested June 27 and charged with one count of forgery in the first degree, one count of violation of public office and one count of false statements and writings, all felony charges. Moore was released on a $10,000 bond.
